When did the music came into your life?
I can't remember. It wasn't a moment that was late enough or significant enough in my life to warrent a specific memory, but from what my parents tell me, I was singing and memorizing songs real young and dancing when I could. I always remember good sound systems in my house growing up and good music coming through it. Good old country, some old folk and rock, real good stuff. My dad played a whole bunch, too and so did my uncles so I was around lots of live music ever since I was born.

When did you begun to play music and write your own songs?
I started playing when I was about 12 or 13. I got my unlces old electric for Christmas and a chord book. My dad showed me some chords and I learned all the Elvis songs I was trying to play on piano on guitar. I'd been playing piano since I'd been about 8 or 9 or so... I wrote my first couple songs on piano about the same time I was starting to play guitar. It was a very exciting time of discovery for me...any song I heard that I liked I'd try and learn it. It was great to be able to play songs I liked...

Why did you begun with the music in first place?
I started singing in choirs and taking piano when I was around 8. I could sing a whole bunch of Frank Sinatra for you. Lots of Elvis, too. Those were my favorite to sing...

Who is your musical influences?
Robert Johnson, and Elvis probably shaped my music the most. I love those two.

How did you made your independently record?
I had some close family friends with a studio and contact with lots of great players that played there often. They pulled a whole bunch of strings, we all pulled together any money we could, and with all of us really excited we made it over the course of six months or so. We're still really into what we did...

Tell about your debut album ?The Tracks Of?...
This is the album that was going to introduce me to my first big chunk of people 'cause it was going to the stores. I wanted it to have the feel of an introduction to a book. I wanted to sample different styles but keep it within the feeling of one piece of work. I like to think of all the albums I'll ever release as being a part of one big work that you could buy in a box set when I'm dead. Every album will have it's place. This album will be my first introduction into the world of pop culture, I think.

Tell about your life today...
It's still all about dreaming for me. I've taken some really nice first steps that are inspiring even bigger dreams and goals. There's something very comforting, though, about having done this even as long as I have.

How has your life change since you begun with the music ?
I don't remember there ever being a change. Music has always been in the back of my mind and in mind for me by anyone I've known.

How is it to be on tour?
Adventurous, tiring, challenging, and the most sensational job in the world. I've wanted to be a touring musician my whole life. I still do!

You're an actor too, tell more about your acting...
I love doing it, I love studying it, and having a project where I can act really gives me a break from music. It feels really fresh when I go back and forth. Since I've got my music to fall back on, I feel like I'm in a good spot 'cause I can pick and choose acting roles.
