Tyler Hilton, 20, is a newly signed Maverick Records solo artist, who spoke with Front Row Fanz before his club show in Hollywood. Although he has been busy recording the album, Tyler has also been touring the country with the Virgin Mega College Tour. Right now, he is currently gearing up for his June 15 release of his album "The Tracks Of".

Front Row Fanz: First, can you introduce yourself.
Tyler Hilton: I'm Tyler Hilton, and I am a Maverick singer/songwriter. *pause* And, I am a ping-pong extraordinaire. *laughs*
Front Row Fanz: How would you describe your music?
Tyler: It's pop music. I'm not afraid to say that either. I love pop songs!
Front Row Fanz: Of the songs you've currently recorded, which one is your favorite?
Tyler: Well, it changes all the time. I can't choose a favorite.
Front Row Fanz: How would you compare your first independent album to the one that will be released from Maverick?
Tyler: It has the same kind of flow, despite the money differences in making the two albums. But, in a way, the new album is different because it has been four years since I recorded my first cd. Music styles change.
Front Row Fanz: Who are some of your musical influences?
Tyler: Robert Johnson. He really inspires me. *pause* When I was younger, I wanted to be like Frank Sinatra, and I would dress up in the suits. But, then I was like 'Screw the suit. I am strapping on a guitar..' *laughs* As for artists I am currently listening to... I would have to say Britney Spears - nah, I'm just kidding. I have been listening to Patty Griffin. She has inspired me to write a lot of songs lately.
Front Row Fanz: So, what are your thoughts on Britney Spears?
Tyler: Wow, I should have kept my mouth shut. *laughs* Well, let's see. I think she is a very entertaining entertainer and that is about it.
Front Row Fanz: So, where are you performing tonight?
Tyler: It's a club here in Hollywood called the Hotel Cafe. I have been wanting a gig here for so long, and tonight I finally get a chance to perform. It's kind of like a mini prom. *laughs*
Front Row Fanz: What can people expect from your live shows?
Tyler: The show is like a big Thanksgiving dinner, and everyone has fun. *laughs* Wait- did that make any sense?
Front Row Fanz: Well, definitely not your typical Thanksgiving dinner, but it sounds like everyone has fun.
Tyler: Actually, everyone can expect an acoustic show and a dose of my BIG hair. *laughs*
Front Row Fanz: Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans?
Tyler: I'd really like to meet my fans because it seems like there isn't anyone out there. So, if anyone reads this, even the Amish, I really want to meet you! *laughs*
